Sustainable and responsible attitude towards the environment around us is one of our core values – our goal is 0 environmental accidents. Nevertheless, it is clear that construction is a field that inevitably affects the environment and safety significantly. Therefore, we must be particularly careful and diligent in reducing our impact and burden on the environment. We admit to ourselves that work in environmental safety is ongoing and continuous. We must remember to be consistent and honest to achieve the right balance between development, nature, and people.

We organise our daily activities in a way that allows us to follow the principles of continuous environmental conservation, prevent environmental pollution, reduce the environmental footprint of our activities, and enhance environmental performance. We aim to reduce the CO2 emissions associated with our activities by 40% by 2030.

Environmental Policy Directions:
  • Compliance with legislation and other requirements governing the company’s activities.
  • Regular assessment and control of environmental impacts associated with the company’s activities.
  • Optimal use of natural resources; saving water and energy.
  • Reducing waste generation and increasing waste recycling.
  • Restoring or tidying the natural environment’s initial condition according to agreements.
  • Improving communication and mutual understanding (cooperation partners, residents, local authorities, and other possible stakeholders); considering the expectations of all parties.
  • Conducting internal environmental audits.
  • Using environmentally friendly materials and technologies.

We all influence the society around us through our actions. Every action or inaction sends a signal to our peers. Responsibility towards the surrounding environment and people is an integral part of our business activities. We can operate and develop as a sustainable and successful company only if we contribute to the surrounding environment.

As a successful company, we want to set a positive example. One such outlet is our participation in the Responsible Business Forum.

The Responsible Business Forum is an association that promotes sustainable business in Estonian companies and society. AS TREV-2 Grupp was the first construction company to join it. We have a great opportunity to learn from the good practices of other forum members and be a pioneer in implementing sustainable business principles in our field. Several initiatives have already been implemented and TREV-2 uses a sustainable and environmentally friendly way of thinking in its operations. Implement the principles of responsible business in your company as well and join the Forum.

There are three playrooms open in the Tallinn, Tartu, and Rapla offices for school-aged children of the company’s employees. The TegeLASTE (Hero KIDS) playroom is equipped with computers for schoolwork, video and board games for fun, as well as books and drawing materials for even more enjoyable time.

The TegeLASTE playroom provides parents with a better opportunity to balance work and family life.

The project is supported by the Norway Grants’ 2009–2014 “Gender Equality and Work-life Balance” Programme.
